Hello,

a bit about me:

Alexis R. Jenkins, MSED 

Alexis is the Founder of Youth Dreamers Inc, and the Vice President of Morph Mentoring organizations. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Student Affairs and College Counseling in May of 2019, and is pursuing her Doctorate degree in Higher Education from Saint Peter’s University. She has served as an Area Coordinator of Residential Life at both Monmouth and Georgian Court Universities. Alexis has aided in a variety of leadership and service projects for the Asbury Park and Neptune community. Her professional focus is on underrepresented college students and retention for male students of color at the higher education level. Alexis is the co-founder of the Empowering Young Black Males Program, along with Dr. Vernon Smith.  She has mentored women through service and leadership programming such as Women in Leadership Development, habitat for humanity, food drives, and soup kitchens.

She has presented on various diversity topics including equity vs equality, sense of belonging for underrepresented students, and inclusivity. She most recently has partnered with Morph Mentoring as the Vice President of the organization. Morph serves ALL youth populations, seeking to expound in their academics, leadership, and collegiate, work.

Alexis is a proud South Jersey native from Galloway, New Jersey. She is a proud graduate from Georgian Court University with her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Psychology. She lives by the words of Michelle Obama, “You should never view your challenges as a disadvantage. Instead, it's important for you to understand that your experience facing and overcoming adversity is actually one of your biggest advantages.”
